RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

The RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the United Kingdom and Ireland and is also internationally recognised. The NPLQ is an excellent starting point for anyone looking for a career in the leisure industry.

The NPLQ course is a minimum of 36 hours long followed by a practical assessment on pool lifeguard theory, pool rescue, first aid and CPR.

Training course dates:

Monday 23rd - Friday 27th July 


£225 (100% attendance is required)

Course pre-requisites:

Swim 50m in less than 1 minute

Swim 100m continuously on your front then 100m on your back

Tread water in deep water for more than 30 seconds

Surface dive to the deepest part if the pool

Climb out of the pool unaided

(A swim test may be required)
