Operations Supervisor

Serving the needs of both Malvern College pupils and our Malvern Active members, Operations Supervisors fulfil a key customer focused role, leading the Operations Assistants team and providing operational support to the Duty Managers in running the Complex on a day to day basis.  

Purpose of the role:

  • To lead the Sport Complex Operations Assistants team
  • To supervise users of the Sports Complex
  • To ensure the highest standards of service delivery at all times
  • To undertake the role of a Duty Manager when needed

Operations Assistant 

A key customer focused role, Operations Assistants provide support to both the Duty Managers and Operational Supervisors in running the complex on a
day to day basis.

Purpose of the role:

  • To supervise users of the complex, whilst providing assistance, ensuring all equipment is use in a safe manner
  • To clean and maintain the facilities and to assist with all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the complex
  • To act as poolside lifeguard when required

Receptionist (18.5 hours)

As first point of contact for visitors to our busy complex, candidates will have excellent communication and IT skills, a positive approach to work and be able to think on their feet.

Purpose of the role:

  • To assist in the effective control and operation of reception. Specific areas include the control of admissions, bookings and memberships
  • To operate cash control procedures in compliance with standard operating procedures
  • To be responsible for cash, tickets, stock and equipment 
  • To liaise with the Duty Manager regarding bookings, cancellations and general availability of the facility

Swimming Instructors 

Responsible for providing professional tuition to children attending the complex's learn-to-swim scheme.

Purpose of the post:

  • To teach/coach swimming and/or other aquatic disciplines, adhering to the Amateur Swimming Association’s (ASA) “National Teaching Plan”
  • To support assistant instructors where appropriate
  • To ensure that all lessons are planned in advance and to undertake all administrative tasks associated with the position
  • To foster a positive learning environment for clients attending swimming lessons and to promote a welcoming environment in the Sports Complex
